Corporations

GiveForward is a Chicago-based start-up that provides personalized fundraising webpages to raise money for out-of-pocket medical expenses. Since 2008, its user-friendly platform has empowered thousands of friends and family from all over the world to send hope, love and financial support to those they care about during a medical crisis.

According to the American Journal of Medicine, 62% of all bankruptcies are linked to medical expenses. Over the last two and a half years our users have collectively raised almost $5 million to help those in need pay for medical treatment and equipment, often picking up where healthcare coverage leaves off.

Beyond just an online tool, GiveForward is a fundraising support system. The GiveForward team provides support through every moment of the fundraising process with step-by-step guides, fundraising coaches, and details on how to use free fundraising tools like social media to make fundraisers successful.

Contributions

Aside from just showing support, GiveForward pages are important because it can help break through the stigma associated with asking for help, financial or otherwise. Often, people are comfortable giving gifts of money during times of celebration like a graduation or marriage but during times of real need, people are afraid to give financial help. GiveForward is breaking that stigma. With a GiveForward page, beneficiaries can feel more comfortable asking for support and donors know that their help is welcome and appreciated.
