Allstream Small Business’ roots stretch back to 1846, when the business was established as the Montreal and Toronto Magnetic Telegraph Company.
The organization had several firsts in the telecommunications industry, including: in 1886, they were the first to send a coast-to-coast telegraph message in Canada; in 1992, they were the first to enter the Canadian market in long distance competition and in 2006, the first Canadian service provider to offer a national IP Trunking solution.
