The Young Entrepreneur Council, an invite-only nonprofit membership organization, promotes entrepreneurship as a means to overcome youth unemployment and underemployment.
Its mission is to spark an entrepreneurial revolution in America—and help rebuild the economy in the process. The YEC seeks to put the tools and resources aspiring young entrepreneurs need directly in their hands, so they are empowered to create thousands of new businesses (and jobs).
Contributions
The Young Entrepreneur Council has been active on Capitol Hill in areas such as youth entrepreneurship and student loan relief.
The 400-person organization includes leaders from Reddit, Hootsuite, AirBandB,Klout and Living Social, to name a few. The organization offers mentorship and resources to help young people become successful entrepreneurs.
