Making sustainable connections, one ShoutOUT at a time! ShoutOUT provides a free Member Directory for the community and businesses to connect, post local events, host business-sponsored giveaways to raise awareness for locally-owned businesses, and have created a recognition program called "PIN IT" where the community can send gold megaphone-shaped ShoutOUT Pin to thank those for contributing to the community. ShoutOUT is about connecting residents, independently-owned businesses, and events to one another, co-creating a sustainable community while building a sustainable local economy.

Contributions

The main purposes of ShoutOUT is to connect the community with independently-owned businesses. To do this, ShoutOUT has a Facebook page open to the community to post and connect, a free member directory, a place to view local events on a community calendar, opportunities for businesses and community members to be featured on the site and to demonstrate their knowledge through guest blog articles.

Heather Sell, the founder of ShoutOUT, coordinates and sustains ShoutOUT and its chapters in her spare time and personally finances this community venture (website, advertising, expenses).
