College Works Painting hires high-achieving college students and trains them on the basics of managing a business from start to finish. Each selected manager oversees the marketing, sales, production management and customer relations of a house-painting business in their hometown.
Interns are provided with the tools and training, the systems and support and the licensees and insurance necessary to manage a successful business during the summer. The requirements are confidence, leadership skills and motivation. Student earnings range from $2,500 to $50,000.

College Works contributes to the following charities: Augie’s Quest, $5 from each job is contributed. Make a Wish Foundation: College Works has supported this organization for the past several years, helping to give hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 2006, College Works donated $53,000 to St. Jude’s to aid in children’s cancer research.
College Works interviews over 50,000 college students each year to hire around 2,000. They are one of the few companies who gives students the responsibility of managing a business. College Works Painting grew over 30% in revenue through the recession. Another unique part of College Works business is the use of their full in house IT staff that has created a system (MYNSG) that salespeople, sales managers, VP’s and Executives can use to manage the business from anywhere with Internet access.
