Aileron was founded by Clay Mathile, a successful business owner who believed that free enterprise and small businesses fuel a vibrant and prosperous community.
In 1996, the first Strategic Planning Workshop was offered using the facilities at Iams University. In 2003, Clay hired Joni Fedders to build The Center for Entrepreneurial Education into an organization that would exist to help entrepreneurs for generations to come.
As of November 2008, Aileron has worked with over 1,200 privately held organizations and their reach to help more aspiring entrepreneurs continues to grow.
