Arlin's first foray into IT was as a consultant. By 1985, he had moved into the retail side of the industry and formed Sorensen’s Computer Connection, Inc.
A merger in 2002, gave rise to Heartland Technology Solutions (HTS). HTS now has six offices in five states (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma) and more than 75 employees. Under Arlin's leadership, HTS delivers the full spectrum of IT solutions to small and medium businesses in America’s farm belt.
Arlin then founded Heartland Technology Group (HTG) becoming today a vibrant community of IT solution providers, fostering business as well as personal growth. HTG is now comprised of 240 member companies throughout the U.S., Australia, Canada and the UK.
Founded HTG group that now comprises over 240 IT solution providers around the world in pursuit of best business practices to manage and grow their business. These solution providers are the backbone of IT service to thousands of small businesses around rural and urban centers in the US and around the world.
Arlin is a gem in the IT solution world (sometimes referred to as MSPs, VARs or computer resellers). The business he started helps numerous rural small and medium business understand and deploy technology to improve their business. Now, with the HTG group, he's brought a business framework in a peer group relationship to help hundreds of other solution providers apply business principals to manage and grow their business.
