As part of the inaugural class of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program, Julie will graduate in September 2011, at which time she plans to implement everything she learned to better her business and other fellow small businesses. In 2010 her company, Keystone Resources, saw growth in its staff and in their abilities. Taking this approach and investing in the staff have proven to be vital. The staff has attended workshops and educational encounters, offered by the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance (WBEA), which have in turn helped the staff in their development as business professionals. This has ultimately benefited Keystone Resources in continuing to reach its goal of hitting revenues of $1 million in 2012.
