In addition, with her brother, she co-founded GoodSearch.com, a company which transforms every day actions into ways to support your favorite cause. She received her MBA from Stanford Business School.
JJ has been awarded Self Magazine’s “Women Doing Good” award, JWI’s “Women to Watch,” the New York Enterprise Report’s Small Business Advocate and was a 2011 “Small Business Influencer” among other recognition.
She contributes every single week. Your Business began with a six month run on MSNBC. It has now been on the air for six years! JJ has spent a lot of time interviewing politicians and policy makers as well to help make sense of what is going on in Washington for small business owners -- and to try to cut through the political rhetoric to find the truth.
JJ has dedicated the last six years of her life to helping small business owners -- from providing advice and inspiration on her program and other NBC programs, to speaking to audiences around the country, to writing articles. In addition, she has written a book to help small business owners which will be released in October 2012. Finally, as an entrepreneur herself, JJ walks the walk. She not only speaks about small business, she lives it.
