Gwen Moran is a freelance writer and author with a long history of writing about small business. She writes the small business blog at NextAvenue.org, a new PBS web site, and is a longtime contributor to Entrepreneur and Entrepreneur.com, where she has frequently written to the Doing Good section of the magazine. Her co-authored book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Business Plans, was released in its second edition and she has collaborated on more than 10 other titles, mostly about business and management topics. Her work has appeared in/on Crain's New York Business, Newsweek.com, The Los Angeles Times magazine, AARP, RainToday, Deliver, and a variety of national and custom media for small businesses. She is an accomplished humorist, and her award-winning work has been published in The Chicago Tribune, Entrepreneur's StartUps, Skirt!, and in the anthology The Kid Turned Out Fine.
