His framing business grew quickly and soon became the largest of its kind in the country. Goltz soon started other related, successful businesses.
After realizing that there was a lack of real-world advice for small businesses, he wrote his first book, The Street Smart Entrepreneur: 133 Tough Lessons I Learned the Hard Way.
Now a popular speaker, Goltz has become the Voice of Small Business through his keynotes, New York Times blog and broad media exposure. His New York Times blog, “You’re the Boss,” gives business owners a place where they can compare notes, ask questions, get advice, and learn from one another’s mistakes.
