Tasha Cunningham writes BizBytes 101, a newspaper column that focuses on offering free or low-cost tools for small business owners to make their marketing and public relations dollars go further in a down econommy.

Ms. Cunningham is a principal of the Cunningham Group, where she and her husband Courtney Cunningham handle marketing, public involvement, social media and issues management duties on behalf of both public and private sector clients.

Ms. Cunningham formerly led communications efforts for the Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County, Florida economic development agency. She has been a columnist for the Miami Herald since 1998 and has written about everything from public school education to guerilla marketing and social media. She has been featured on MSNBC, CNN, the Today Show and the New York Times.


Ms. Cunningham has brought expert advice and knowledge to business owners across the U.S. who read her newspaper columns. Teaching small businesses how to access and use free tools to create brand buzz is her mission.

If there ever was a champion for small businesses, it's Tasha Cunningham.
