Prior to founding Chief Outsiders in 2009, Saxby has worked in marketing and strategy for Hines Horticulture, Imperial Sugar, Frito-Lay, Kellogg's, Coca-Cola, and Compaq Computers/HP.
After many years in corporate America, Art Saxby saw the opportunity in helping small and mid-size businesses grow. When he was with Coca-Cola, he realized that no matter how hard he worked and how brilliant his strategies were – he could never quite “double” that large of a company. But he could do that for small businesses. Today through Chief Outsiders, Saxby is taking the CMO role and making it available and accessible to small businesses around the country.
During his tenure at Hines Horticulture, Saxby led the implementation of new strategy, helping position the company for sale. As the Vice President of Marketing at Imperial Sugar, Saxby introduced an innovative customer based growth strategy that helped drive the company’s stock price from a previous $1.05 to $35 a share. Saxby established his marketing career at Frito-Lay, Kellogg’s, Coca-Cola and Compaq Computers/HP.
