Mana believes in clear and simple solutions. Best marketing is an evolution. Start simple, test and learn.
Her friends say she is loyal and passionate. “I believe in helping. New entrepreneurs get cautioned about working for free. When I think of my business, I focus on revenue. When I think of others, I focus on helping. With good time management, helping won’t be an ‘expense.’ Same applies to marketing. Some of our best campaigns brought together different businesses and nonprofits. When businesses, nonprofits and consumers gain, that triple win is the best kind of win.”
One of the businesses Mana works with is Music Box Films, which is a small film distribution company here in Chicago. Through her efforts, she's helped build this business by promoting the films they represent. This is a little, underdog company that brings little, underdog films into the US. This is one of many examples of how Mana works tirelessly, helping promote companies who have few, if any, advantages.
Mana really only does one thing: help small businesses. Most of these businesses aren't even clients. She spends most of her time teaching and helping potential clients. It's a very time consuming but selfless approach that, more than anything, builds the community and strengthens every business and everyone who comes in contact with Mana and Lightspan.
