Greg Hamra

Greg Hamra is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) instructor for Everblue, and was recently recognized as 2011's Green Visionary by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. With over 25 years' experience as a training specialist, Greg has empowered thousands of people around the world to drive positive change with knowledge in LEED, carbon accounting, computer technology, business presentation skills, and corporate sustainability. Greg’s passionate teaching style has appropriately become known as “edutainment” because of his gift for engaging students and relating technical material in a practical, entertaining style. Greg is respected for practicing what he preaches in sustainability. He has inspired and enhanced many careers and businesses in the green economy. In addition to his work at Everblue, Greg tirelessly volunteers his time mentoring, coaching and encouraging the development of green business.

Greg is empowering small business to reinvent in an economic downturn, and not only survive, but emerge more competitively with a sustainable future. An employee of a local construction company credits Greg’s training with inspiring him to drive change and reposition his employer as a builder of affordable green homes. Greg provided LEED training to the Miami Dade Economic Advocacy Trust, which used federal funding to bring sustainability education to minority-owned business employees.

Greg’s influence reaches beyond the classroom and the certification process. He volunteers countless hours to extend himself into the community as a green resource. Students describe Greg as a role model who leads by example and inspires thoughtful action that makes an impact. Greg encourages dialogue and facilitates professional connections within the green economy. Greg helps students to successfully leverage their knowledge of sustainability to grow a business, and increase market share.
