John Dano was born in Hawaii and grew up in California and Washington. After earning his MBA, he became a professor of communications at NYIT in Old Westbury, NY where he was also an accomplished NCAA Athletic Director and fundraiser. He is co-owner of Sales Partners New York, Inc., and several other businesses. As a Sales Partner, he is a business consultant and motivational speaker. Sales Partners hosts events with a dual focus of business and personal development which help entrepreneurs to get out of their own way so they can build successful, cash-flowing businesses. Dano's energy is contagious and he shows small business owners how to build both the business and the lifestyle they want, rather than becoming slaves to self-employment. There are key elements that are critical to successful businesses, regardless of size or industry, some of which are counter-intuitive. Dano explains each one with an enthusiasm that has event attendees wanting "some of what he has."

John Dano and Sales Partners New York frequently offer business and personal development seminars that make the secrets of business success accessible to the average small business owner. Recently, I attended one such session which was priced at only $25, and that was donated to Autism Speaks. The combination of business and personal development is critical because even if you KNOW what to do to make your business successful, it is of no use if you can't bring yourself to actually DO it.
John Dano should be named a champion because he helps small business owners and their families to live a richer, more fulfilling life. One of his slogans is "transforming the marketplace one business at a time." The future of the local economy will most likely lie in the hands of small business. Most small business owners are experts in what they do, but not in the corollary skills that can make the difference between a successful business and failure. Dano's teaching seeks to remedy that.
