Founded in September of 2010 by IBM and a number of other large corporations, Supplier Connection is a free web-based portal designed to make it easier for small businesses to become suppliers to large enterprises. As of 2012, the members of Supplier Connection purchase more than $150 billion in goods and services annually through their global supply chains.

Contributions

In order to restore the struggling economy and help small businesses, a number of large corporations came together and started Supplier Connection to make it easier for small businesses to potentially become suppliers to large companies. Because of this portal, small businesses throughout the US were given an opportunity to become suppliers to large corporations.
